East St. Louis man convicted of killing McDonald's employee
A 22-year-old man was convicted Wednesday in the killing of a McDonald's employee in December in East St. Louis.
Jarvis Boose, of 2338 Illinois Ave., East St. Louis, was convicted of first-degree murder and attempted robbery of Darrel Britton, 26, of East St. Louis, in Circuit Judge John Baricevic's courtroom.
East St. Louis Detective Michael Floore said he was 'glad to bring some closure to the Britton family. Unfortunately, it's a sad case for both families.'
While Britton was returning from a store near his home, he was accosted and shot, said Floore, one of two detectives who worked on the case. Read more
