Begley murder charges go to jury

1 to 5 is awful if he was here in chicago he would have got 30 to life and have to do 85% of his time

They came back with reckless homicide verdict.the abuse with the ashtray and the whipping his wife with booster cables must have played a big part.

But Mr. Tyree, You gotta understand...he had a good excuse...they were related AND he was on drugs. Around here that's a good excuse. He wasn't responsible, he was high! I wish the sarcasm could be heard in my voice...hopefully you can feel it. This makes me sick! He may get 1-5 but he'll never serve it! 6 months is the most he will serve. Ed may not have been a perfect man but for crying out loud he was a human being and did not deserve what happened to him! Begley practically walking for COLD BLOODED MURDER is SICK to say the least!

You get more time for drugs then you do for murdering someone! I don't know if it's true but I heard his uncle had always picked on him and accused him of doing bad things.

I don't know all the details, and I'm sure I won't get all of them on here, but I knew both sides of the families involved here, and both sides have different stories. All I have to say is that if Kenny was getting abused, a person can only take so much. Plus he was on drugs, drugs are destroying this world one family at a time. I hate that Ed died, don't get me wrong but Ed's wife even admitted to abusing Kenny, so like I said before, a person can only take so much. And finally, if the abuse was so bad, Kenny knew where the door was, and plus if Ed was smart he would have showed it to Kenny along time ago!! God be with both families!

Abuse my bottom side. The only thing that Ed ever done to that punk was be good to him. He took his dead beat A$$ in when noone else would. Clothed him, fed him, and put a rood over his head. The electric chair is not good enough for this drug addicted punk. Ed Eversole may not have been perfect but he was one of the best friends that I ever had in my life. If I ever needed anything he was always there for my and my family. Kenneth, you got away with killing a man that I hae heard you call Dad time and time again and I hope he haunts you for the rest of your miserable drug addicted life. I sure hope all those oxycodones was worth killing this man that alot of people thought so much of.

The toxocology reports showed that Kenneth Begley had the correct amount for a percacet 10 which he was prescribed. The pills he was accused of stealing was oxycodone 30, he would of had alot higher reading if he had been taking those. The rumor he was high or on drugs that night is completely false and anyone at the trial would know that. 911 phone call on the night you can distinctly hear Mrs. Eversole say it was self defense twice to the operator. Should it have stopped before someone died? Of course, but did Ed scare Kenneth into thinking he would kill him or hurt him....seems likely so. Kentucky law states you dont have to wait for someone to stab you before you pretect yourself, and that is what Kenneth did. He got 5 years because it should have stopped before someone died. As he stated I didnt want to kill him, I just wanted him to stop. Regardless I am praying for the family of Ed Eversole!! This is still hard for them.

You know I was in the court room that day listening to all of this people going in front of the judge there where murders and drug charges. There was one guy who got 5 years for one count of drug traffic one count 5 years! This guy kills his Uncle in cold blood in the mans home and gets 5 years!! WTF I am so ashamed of our justice system it makes me sick!!!

Self defense YEAH RIGHT! Kenneth was waiting on Ed behind the door in Ed's own home (waiting to kill him) with a 16 gauge shotgun. I guess Kenneth can see through doors and what I mean by that is Kenneth made the statement that he thought that Ed had a knife out and was going to hurt him. If he was so afarid of this 68 year old man then why on earth was he living in Ed's home? Kenneth was just using him for a place to live, eat, and whatever else he could squander out of the man that helped raise him. The 911 call made me sick and yes I have heard it. Self defense my A$$ Ed was 68 yearsoldand Kenneth was what 28 years old when he slaughtered the man that he called Dad and got away with it.

most of you didnt even know these men. believe me i know kennys family and neither the begleys or eversoles back him and i tell you the one to five may not be enough for killing his great uncle but if you ask me when he gets out there will be another killing and i'd say that kenny wont be doing the killing this time. not saying anything but alot dont agree with the courts decision someone will make him pay.

well there are 2 ppl that knows the truth and one of them is dead.i dont know every thing and i was at the trial and judy says she pretty much seen the 2 of the 3 shots. if this is so y would some one tell the 911 person that it was self defence not once but twice just dont make sence.and i can tell you right now the boy loved the man like a dad and if you think edd eversole wouldnt have hurt any one for stealing off him your crazy.i dont know if he did it out of cold blood or it was a scare tatic gone wrong or may be edd came home and the more he thought about it the madder he got and was going to give kenneth soem more.and way it goes it was just a bad event all around me and the eversole never been real close most of them prob didnt like me but never thought any bad thoughts about them.but the lst thing iam going to say is from what i know of kenneth he would never had hurt any one unless he was put in a corner.but i could have been wrong there 2

must have been more than kenny edd and judy at home that day because so many people know what happen or they just wanting to add their two cent worth to the topix don't make comment unless you were there when it happen no one know why goes on behind close doors, i know the hold family too.

and old timmer your kinda right but thats what these are for ppl getting on here saying what they think and there veiws and there more than welcome to do so its there right.but i think what edd did to the boy with the ashtray busted over his head ( wich judy stood on the stand and said it happen so it is fact) edd deserved his ass whiped not shot or killed but whiped and i dotn think any one will say he didnt.but is the same respect if kenneth stole pills off judy kenneth deserved his ass whiped.but realy i dont think kenneth stole any pills off judy. dont know why he would steal a pill off her when all he had to do is to ask when judy have gave him pills before. not trying to piss any one off thats just the way i see it
