Phillips on the mend
One day in October, Elkins resident Mark Phillips woke up to a nurse asking if he knew where he was.
Hundreds of people - many in pajamas - celebrated in downtown Elkins Thursday as the annual Polar Express holiday train made its first voyages of the year.
14,000 expected to ride Polar Express
Three years ago, it was considered a Christmas train. Today, and 14,000 sold-out seats later, the Polar Express could be considered one of the region's most valuable assets to tourism growth during the "quiet" time of the year.
