Firefighters from Yolo County and Cal Fire are making progress against a 250-acre grassfire at County Roads 86 and 6, according to fire officials.

A grass fire broke out between County Roads 86 and 6 at 11 a.m. Thursday. Gusty northwinds fanned the flames and the blaze quickly reached 1,535 acres.
