County retailers rewarded for not selling tobacco to minors
On Tuesday, Jan. 31, the Wichita Mountains Prevention Network - Lawton Regional Prevention coordinators, along with Jackson County Tobacco Education Committee and SWAT student volunteers, conducted 12 tobacco compliance checks, also known as "Reward and Reminder Visits" in Jackson County.

Duke mayor explains ordinances
The small town of Duke, in Jackson County, has gained some notoriety for working toward becoming the first "Certified Healthy Community" per House Bill 2774 and signed by Governor Brad Henry, May 10.
