New reporter hits the Capitol beat
“I'm just going to call you Bubba Earl.”
The Sun Herald for the 2008 Legislature will be increasing its Capitol coverage, I'm pleased to announce, with the addition of intrepid reporter Michael 'Bubba Earl' Newsom to the statehouse team, which previously consisted of me.
I'll explain the Bubba Earl moniker in a moment.
Mr. Newsom will be providing day-to-day coverage as the sausage is made by lawmakers, with me being, technically, his boss. But from what I've seen of this young man over the last couple of years, he won't need too much bossing. Read more
