West Middle math bowl team to compete
The district math bowl competition will be hosted by West Middle School at 5 p.m. Feb.
One person injured in Grafton accident
A 24-year-old Dow, Illinois woman was injured Monday afternoon in a single vehicle accident on Illinois Route 3. According to Trooper Jeffrey Yenchko, a spokesman for the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred around 2:55 p.m. on IL Route 3, approximately a quarter-mile west of Grafton Hills Drive, in Jersey County.
Olden Days Festival This Weekend
The Tri County Antique Club is set to host the 22nd Annual Olden Days Festival "under the windmill" in Dow, Illinois just west of Junction 109 and State Highway 3. Events get underway at 7 a.m. tomorrow morning and continue until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Mr. Updike was born Oct. 13, 1917 in Dow, Ill. to Clarence Darlington and Edith Updike.
