1 In the original legislation was an agreement to build something like 7 wind farms, with several hundred windmills each. Now, we wait until the old ones crap out, and buy our power from other states at a higer rate. Or maybe we should just wait until we start having rolling brown outs like they did in California and Texas. |

It is nice that industry can blame their great profits on the environmentalists....getting rich meanwhile. It is time to solve the problems, not take great reap undue profits.
I don't believe that Kansas is hurting for generating capacity right now. Coal may be necessary but the hurry seems to be to get the plants built before clean regulations are enacted. Coal is dirty and causes many environmental problems. I think a better solution would be safe nuclear generating plants utilizing modern technology. If coal is so desirable, why is it necessary to limit KDHE regulatory power over the plants..... What do you base your assessment of global warming on, Gary? Science or politics? |
