Man charged with gun crime after brief chase in Palatine
A 26-year-old Dolton man who led Palatine police on a brief foot chase Saturday night was charged with a litany of crimes after police found a loaded .40 caliber Glock pistol with an extended high capacity magazine in his car Saturday night, authorities said. Torrey D. White, of the 14700 block of Indiana Ave., was charged with felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, misdemeanor reckless driving, misdemeanor attempting to elude a police officer, misdemeanor resisting a peace officer and various traffic offenses, according to a news release issued Tuesday.
