It seems as if whenever Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., talks about his home, he gets in trouble - such as when he told an interviewer that he returns home to Kansas "whenever I get an opponent," then quickly corrected the gaffe. His latest comments came during Saturday's State Fair debate, when Roberts declared that his "home is Dodge City."

Kansas considering facilities for train loading

Kansas transportation officials are considering several cities as possible sites for facilities that would load and unload products brought by trucks onto trains. Transportation Secretary Mike King said the proposal will require six to eight months of further study to determine the size of a facility, which would cost about $5 million.
