Former Deweyville resident Christopher Eric Bailey has completed the final requirements and was granted a Doctor of Philosophy in Cellular Biology by the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston on June 9. His research and dissertation concentrated on the studies of the influence of aging on skeletal muscle reperfusion injury.
