Sedgwick County commissioners approved a resolution that bans the sale and use of aerial luminaries, commonly known as "sky lanterns." County Fire Marshal Tavis Leake said the sky lantern is a frame made with wire or bamboo and covered with paper, and there's a fire source at the center that causes it to float.
