Norwood doctor accused of practicing while impaired

The Board of Registration in Medicine has suspended the license of a surgeon in Norwood. The board says Dr. John Fattore operated a private practice across the street from Norwood Hospital and while working there he is accused of practicing medicine while impaired.

A Dedham man was back in court Monday on aggravated rape charges after prosecutors say they found a way to differentiate between his DNA and his twin brother's. Police say 33-year-old Dwayne McNair raped and robbed two women and Roxbury and Forest Hills in 2004, he was awaiting trial in the spring but the case was dropped because the state couldn't prove whose DNA was taken from semen samples.

Rape Suspect Re-Indicted Using New DNA Test

Suffolk County prosecutors have re-indicted Dwayne McNair, a suspect of two rapes, using a new DNA test created by German company Eurofins Scientific . McNair, 33, of Jamaica Plain and Dedham, was released in April from an eight-count indictment that charged him with raping two young women with accomplice Anwar Thomas in 2004, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Spokesman Jake Wark.
