Local attorney Patricia Willis earned her spot in the Mississippi House of Representatives Tuesday by winning a special election for the vacant District 95 seat.

Voters in Hancock and Harrison Counties will choose a new District 95 state representative on Tuesday during a special election for the vacant seat.

The alleged "Pink Pajama Bandit" and his alleged accomplice were captured by law enforcement officials last week, after cops received a tip from a resident who recognized one of the suspects through the local media, Hancock County Sheriff's Chief Investigator Glenn Grannan said Monday.

Four candidates will be vying for the vacant Ms. District 95 House of Representatives seat during a special election which will be held on May 28.
