Fire officials confirm arson at old Harvey Funeral Home
Two state fire investigators from Atlanta spent the day in Dawson going through what's left of the former Harvey Funeral Home, and say the cause of the fire is arson. Dawson Public Safety Director Charlie Whitehead said they have not determined what caused the fire that destroyed the historic building.

Dawson residents react to old funeral home fire
Heavy flames shot out the roof of the Old Harvey Funeral Home on Crawford Street Saturday night, as Dawson and Terrell County Firefighters worked around the clock to put out the flames. Residents say the street was filled with black smoke.
Overnight Dawson fire extinguished
Dawson and Terrell County Firefighters responded to a fire at the old Harvey Funeral Home about 9:00 p.m. Saturday night. Firefighterswere able to extinguish the fire between 3:00am and 4:00am this morning.
