Mike Sheppard was no different from anyone who has ever played in a country band. He dreamed of making it big in Nashville, Tenn.
He dreamed of playing his drums on stage at the Grand Ole Opry, keeping rhythm to songs about good-hearted women, old dogs, pickup trucks and crying in cousin Earl's root beer.
He planned to ride his brown Oldsmobile Cutlass and Slingerland Blue Swirl drums all the way to the Music City.
