This past Friday, while Marine Corps veteran Edward S. Passetto was laid to rest in Lee, Dalton was coming to grips with the death of Army Specialist Mitchell Daehling.

Sgt. 1st Class Jeffrey C. Baker, 29, of Hesperia, and two other soldiers died Tuesday, May 14, in Sanjaray, Afghanistan, in combat.

According to a family member and a news report, Specialist Mitchell Daehling died while serving in Afghanistan.
