WHAT IS THE POSSIBILITY OF SOMEONE CLEANING THEIR RIFLE AND THEN OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE IT FIRES AND COMES AN INCH AWAY FROM ALMOST KILLING A YOUNG INNOCENT HIGH SCHOOL GIRL????????

You'd be taken alot more seriuosly if you dispensed with the profanity. At the risk of sounding old school when emotion gets the better of people they often resort to using the f-bomb and other profanities to empahsize their anger, disgust, etc. It only makes them sound ignorant to me and not likely to make a persuasive argument.

Now to your statements: I have been a gun owner all my life and trust me when I tell you that it's indeed possible that he was cleaning his gun while it was loaded- which is not a smart thing to do. Accidental firing of weapons is often the harbinger of tragic consequences. The person involved in this crime (based on his profile in the media) is a bit of a loose cannon with some psychological problems. Fortunately, the injury to the young lady was minor. Here's my beef: Rather than jump on the hysteria band wagon like so many others, why don't you let the facts of the case unfold in the legal system? Which incidentally, works most of the time. This case adds up to very little on the face of it. If it was my daughter or son hit grazed with the bullet I'd feel exactly the same.
