A couple has lost their life savings after an employee they thought of as family ripped them off, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.

James Marquez's family should be celebrating his eighteenth birthday today. Instead, they are trying to scrape together enough money to bury him and are questioning whether he would be alive if a signal light were in place at a notorious local intersection.
