Man arrested in Cruger is charged with identity theft
L.C. Coleman, 43, was arrested on Sept. 11 at a rented house in Cruger after an ongoing investigation.
A string of events led Holmes County Sheriff Willie March to Coleman's being arrested in connection with a stolen Income Tax Refund check that was apparently stolen from a Post Office Box in January.
After the check had not arrived, the owner called the Internal Revenue Service and was told that L.C. Coleman cashed the check in Missouri and the check was deposited to the account of American Banker with a Missouri address, according to a stamped imprint on the check. Read more
