Was this guy elected by the people? Is he a Republican or a Democrat? Anyone know the answer to these questions?

wake up Crown Point and find an honest and responsible person to run for your town justice.
Surely there must be someone in your town that is willing do their civic duty with pride.

Why can't people read the whole story or get the facts before they start bashing.
First: If you would have read the the entire article before you started typing you would see there was NO money missing and he is the one being charged due to the incompetent clerk who was there at the time. His fault she was incompetent? No, but he is being charged for her error.
Second: If he is so crooked how come he still has never collected payment for the service he provided. Is it ok for people not to pay there bills?
I'm sorry I feel he is the victim.

the judge is a fine man . he is fair, honest and man enough to accept responsibility for his clerks actions. He is her boss and he could have let her swing all by herself but he didn't .suck's when your responsable for others actions when your trying to do your job to. HE HAS MY VOTE

What a guy!!!! Taking the rap for his clerk seems like a bit over and above the "call of duty" doesn't it? I don't buy it. There's more to the story I'm sure.

Was the clerks name Robin? If it was she was a ditz who was too busy admiring herself instead of paying attention to the job at hand.

Does anyone know that Moriah wants to combine Crown Point, Westport and the Town of Moriah into one Court or maybe one Court building?

That sounds like a smart idea. I'll bet it would save the taxpayers big bucks!! Not to mention it would get rid of the judicial dead weight you know where!

not sure if it would mean one judge, I think they want just one court house. if it's one court house who will pay for it?, if Crown Point and West Port put some of their money into a building in Moriah who would benefit, I don't think you can spend tax payers money on a building in another town. I guess who every thought of doing so may have to do their homework.

How many judges does crown Point have?
How many people are in Crown Point?

I think there are around 4,800 people in Moriah and they have 2 judges, I was woundering why do they need 2 judges if they only have 4,800 people in they town,

I wounder the same about Westport

How many cases does the C.P. judge actually process? Maybe that should be a determination as to whether there's a need or not.

A need for what? Have you ever visited Crown Point court night? Just because Moriah wants or needs a bigger courthouse I see no reason why the taxpayers of another town should have to make it possible.

I'm saying maybe Crown Point doesn't need their own judge. I have never had the pleasure of attending court night in C.P., but I've heard it's pretty interesting especially when the judge has to get guidance from attorneys or law enforcement in attendance.

Well I guess maybe C.P. is busy enough to have their own court. They just need a judge who knows what his job requires. Taxpayers need to get with it and support someone who is able to do the job.
