5-week-old infant killed in western Ky. accident
A western Kentucky infant was killed early Sunday morning during a single-car accident in Todd County.
Police say five-week-old Gabriel Reese Byrum of Crofton, Ky., was pronounced dead at Jennie Stuart Hospital in Hopksinville following the accident shortly after 1 a.m. CDT.
Police say Elizabeth Greenwell, 18, of Crofton, Ky., was driving on US68-80 in Todd County when she fell asleep, causing the car to leave the roadway and enter the median.
When Greenwell woke up she overcorrected, forcing the car to overturn and slide nearly 200 feet on its top before flipping back over and coming to rest in a ditch. Read more
