Restaurant destroyed in fire

A fire Sunday night destroyed Sangiovese at the 1776 Colonial Inn, a fine Italian restaurant on New Prospect Road in the Town of Shawangunk. via Middletown Times Herald Record

I was very upset to see the destruction of such a fine eating establishment. Not only was the service the best around, but the food was phenomenal. I only wish the best for the owner and his family, and hope they rebuild.

Why couldn't fire have destroyed Oscar restaurant on 44/55? That place sucks.

Oh - that place should burn down for sure. Pretty bad food and service is even worse.

Check out the canal house in high falls which is top shelf all the way. Doesn't compare.

Probably a joke. Oscars is ok. but slow service and always the same meals.
Rosendale has s lot of good restaurants by far. The Cement Factor was really really good but it's gone. I don't know about the place that's there now in the same location.

There's a new BBQ place in NP. Does anyone know the name of it? Anyone eaten there? I think it's on main street.

For some reason BBQ is really hot right now (no pun...) I eat meat but only grass-fed, non-chemically adjusted freak-meat. I.E.: no hormones or antibiotics. I doubt any place is serving organic meat.
