Man charged after 2-year-old suffers hot water burns

This poor sweet child now has to undergo painful skin graft surgery for her severe burns. I am praying for her and ask all to join in prayer that God will help her with the terrible physical and mental pain that she is enduring. It breaks my heart.

Its a horrible thing that happened to this innocent child. I'm sure the abuser, will get the least of what he deserves in prison.

you know what.if the laws would go to and eye for an eye for punishment alot of thei crap would stop.like if this man who did this to that baby would have boiling water poured over him.and molesters would be castrated and such.it would stop so much needless abuse.but you know even if they spend the rest of their lives in prison, wich they wont,but it still dont take away the pain these kids go through.it makes me so sad to think about.if it happened to my child i would be the one in jail because i would torture to death the person who did it.

Who would do such a horrible thing? That is the saddest thing I have ever heard of. I hope whoever did it gets their ass beat everyday in jail.

This is ridiculous - I can't comprehend the way some people think. What purpose does this serve. I don't know anything about the people involved but I pray this little girl will not just heal on the outside but even more on the inside.
What a worthless piece of crap this man must be.

Does anyone know how this little girl is doing now? I so hope that she is okay. My thoughts and prayers are with her and the family.

I am all for the death penalty especially when it comes to a child. This is sick. Other than death this man will never be punished enough. As for the little girl she has to deal with the nightmare the rest of her life. May God be with her.

this little girl has been through a lot and is doing ok. she still has a lot more to over come but will make it just fine. she has a good mama that has been with her through all of this too. just please keep them both in your prayers.

The "mama" is not good either. I saw her walking around Wal-mart with that piece of shit Michael Linkous today. How did he get out? I hope someone else has the little girl.

I agree that is pretty sick. If the mama is associating with the childs attacker. Surely the baby will not remain in the mama's custody. If so, our court system truely sucks.

I know the mother of this child very well! I do not think for a second she would put her child in danger! I do not beleive this was on purpose!
I have seen time after time the mother of this child stand up and speak, and help others that could not stand or speak for themselves for their own rights and safety! Accidents do happen! I saw this man in walmart and talked to him myself! He is in so much pain over all this, and cares about that little girl so much! Each of us needs to sit back and think, What could happen if you left out of the room your child was in for a second! Children move fast and in a blink of eye, this to could happen to you! So what we all should do instead of bringing this family down is to pray for them, and open up our eyes to our own children to prevent this from happening to our own! I pray for Melissa, Michael and Katie!!!!

You should be ashamed of yourself for even talking to that trash after what he did to that little girl! Shame on you. I can't believe you would even think about letting her back around the guy that did that to her. She has been traumatized by him and you want you guys to be one big happy family again? You need to really think about that.

Michael is a flipping fruitcake. He tried to kill himself when he was only 15. Oh yeah I know. I know the boy and he ain't right in the head. Go on and believe everything is fine, but do not leave him alone around your baby. I hope he doesn't hurt anyone again, but I wouldn't bet my child's life on it.
