The police union threw SEIU members under the bus during the budget problems and now the board of SEIU is backing the police union hand picked candidates. SEIU members....if you don't like who your union is backing in elections, ask for that portion of your dues that are used for political campaigns back. They have to return it.

What corruption? Once again, claims made, but not one site. The only thing I've heard about in this election cycle has concerned Mr. Sykes campaign treasurer's mismanagement of funds.
Seriously, if you are going to make claims, please educate and provide me with some reputable sources so I can research prior to the election.
Regards.

KEEP TRUE CHANGE ALIVE EL MONTE.

REAL CHANGE HAPPEND THIS YEAR WHEN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN NEARLY 15 YEARS THE CITY COUNCIL HAD THE COURAGE TO STAND UP TO THE FIRE UNION AND POLICE UNION POLITICAL MACHINES.

TRUE CHANGE WILL DIE IF YOU VOTE IN MACIAS, QUINTERO and THOMAS TOMORROW NIGHT.

THIS ELECTION MATTERS MORE THAN YOU COULD POSSIBLY REALIZE.

VOTE FOR WHOMEVER YOU LIKE AS LONG AS THEIR NAME AREN'T QUINTERO, MACIAS OR THOMAS.

YOU'RE FAMILY AND YOUR WALLET WITH THANK YOU.

If I were an El Monte resident, why would I support incumbents who have supported cutting police? From the headlines I read I would want an officer on every corner!
I say vote out anyone you can, as all these cities and their crooked politicians are screwed up. Start over.

You also believe that el monte is a bad place because of its mexican population. we don't need law enforcement with that kind of attitude. Besides deal with your own problems in Whitter....didn't you just have a halloween stabbing.

Things sound pretty rough and tumble in Whittier too lately! El Monte's crime rate actually went up in 2008, when the police dept. was at full strength and the cops had just got the huge raises. In the past, the police did a pretty good job of keeping the crime out of the news. Now that they didn't get their way, they are reporting every petty theft to the newspaper. Brian Glick, president of the POA, is the officer that started the investigation of the Titan Group. For some reason, Mr. Glick lacked the will or the skill to continue the investigation, so the DA could file/drop charges. Officers of Mr. Glick's caliber, we don't need.

You are the same fool that keeps saying this with different handles. I know because you spell incumbent with an "A" all the time.

Only corruption (curruption) going on in WC is Hernandez and his crew (sykes/rozatti). Their hit pieces filled with lies, using the county seal, and not showing where they got their money for all their mailers.(That all look the same with all the same permit numbers) and yelling at residents that wont put up their signs. One says she's a teacher, one says he's a professor, the other has such a bad temper according to a police report, he shot a dog in a cage.

Yeah, support them.

Funny, I don't remember saying anything about it's "mexican population". It is people like you with your victim mentality, who refuse to report crimes and look at law enforcement as the enemy who are the problem with your crappy little town. Until of course it's someone in your family who is the victim.

P.s. El Monte isn't a bad place because of it's mexican population, it's a bad place because of it's gang infestation that losers like you want to protect, or maybe you look at that as your El Monte Culture.
Sure crime is everywhere, it's in Whittier and I have been a victim. My fault though for choosing to live near the Whittier courthouse where all the scum of the SGV is released onto the streets everyday, wearing their silly jumpsuits and loafers.
I've moved to a city where purse snatchers are taken care of the right way.
