Krispy Kreme opening sizzles; owner plans more Tucson stores

On Tuesday, Marana got its new Krispy Kreme at 8260 N. Cortaro Road, and franchise owner Dan Brinton says he's planning on three more for the Tucson area by the end of the year.

Pima plans to buy 4 parcels for open space

Pima County plans to buy the remaining 2,700 acres of the Empirita Ranch, the 160-acre Bloom property in the Tucson Mountains and the 50-acre Cortaro/Hartman property along the Hardy Wash.
