There is no excuse for him being drunk, when are people gonna learn not to drink and drive no matter what thier driving. Its a shame he probably did know about that part of the bay, every body runs aground over there in those flats, its a very dangerous area, I have run up on those flats with my wave runner and got stuck!, he must have really slammed in hard on the speed boat he was on, probably didnt even know what hit him. I think the township should put something to mark those flats to warn unaware boaters, at night it so hard to tell your in the shallows, it looks like still deep water on top. Well lets all learn never to drink and drive in the bay or on the road cause you never know whats gonna happen, maybe if he was sober he may have used better judgement, such a waste of life.
