Treptow is a trained security guard? A rent-a-cop? Sounds like he thought he was in a TV show about cops. I hope this moron has his right to carry revoked.

It sounds to me like a cop thought he was bigger than the law and threatened some law abiding folks and got suprised when they defended themselves. The cop was indicted by a grand jury and sounds like a S*** bag!

I can't believe that they didn't log this violent civilian away forever.

He messed with one of the Good Ol' Boys in Blue though, and we'll see how his luck goes on the outside.

Surprised Tim Dolan didn't hire Beard immediately. He would fit in well in the MPD. Of course, Beard's charges are dismissed by the government, even after a grand jury indicted him. Must be nice to be above the law. Oh yeah, it's called being a cop.

Good cops don't pass people on the shoulder and point weapons at them. Well, they do in Iran, and now MN. He's a terrorist thug. Too bad he survived. Loser.

Cop thought he had a God badge rather than a simple police badge. Apparently forgot the whole "protect and serve". Instead though his badge entitled him to force people to bend to his will at the end of a gun.

Given the circumstances Treptow had every reason to believe he was defending his wife and kids from a dangerous criminal. He did what was right.

The police are just covering up for one of their own. Despicable. No wonder people don't trust police any more. We have more to fear from some of them than anything else.

My brother told me that the hardest part of adjusting back to life in the states (after 3 years in Iraq) was to not pull a gun on anyone driving crazy.

That is just plain scary. He might as well become a cop so he doesn't need to worry about it.

Way to disrespect both the police and US military. Well played, well played.

I read the police reports, listened to the tapes of phone calls and police chatter, and talked to people that know both parties. I'm pretty confident I'm right.

And you're the keeper of the facts? It must be nice to run through life thinking you understand what goes on around you...

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Aries

The behaviour of somebody around you (most probably your partner or family member) may be rather irrational today. Alternatively, a surprise involving one of these people is possible. Try to keep your domestic plans reasonably flexible to cover all possible outcomes. The focus is on improving your relationship with your partner or with friends today. Any outings should go very smoothly.
