Tall grass because the State of Michigan decided to cut corners and not mow that grass this summer. I wonder how many more accidents are going to be hidden in this manner. Pathetic!

Got to save the money for those welfare rats....or as Granmole says "a safety net for the most vulnerable among us".

That's too bad about the driver not being seen or found for so long. I'm so sorry for his family's loss.

I was just talking about his last night to my spouse...I bet the car/deer accidents increase because they will be hidden by the grass. And, supposedly, the median on the highways can't be mowed because the birds need a place to go....if that is true...good cover-up for a financial hiccup!

I've never had a problem with tall grass but have with the trees and bushes that are purposefully planted right at corners or entrances and exits so that you can't see around them without getting halfway out into the road.

Besides, I'd rather have enough police and fire fighters in my town than lawn crews.(Silly me.)

If alcohol was not involved, I don't see the sheriff's office saying it was anyone's fault. They will close this case as just being an accident.

the tall grass didn't cause that accident. People want mowing services but don't want to pay for them. If you want taxes low then you get low services. Or we all take turns mowing road sides for free. Don't blame the Government when it's the voters.

The State should have non violent inmates earning

their stay .For The Welfare situation when there

is no jobs.....Work first should be sending

people out there .It is sad someone has died.

our prayers to the family .

I had a feeling that some uneducated person would leave a stupid comment about this article. The guy was drinking and driving too fast-it's not Granholm's fault.

for everyone complaining about the tall grass go out and mow the side of your freaking lawn, i live in the country and we go out and mow our property along the side of the road. quit griping about something so freaking stupid and take care of your own property!

the story is about a man losing his life not about how our state isn't maintaining your property!

Let's bring chain gangs back and have them cut the tall grass down along the highways!
We have a few inmates here in Ionia to spare.

There is never a discussion that doesn't include some stupid comment like this. Seems pretty common these days.

I don't believe the story indicated the grass had anything to do with the accident--he lost control, went off the road, hit a tree--the wreckage was hidden by grass. Maybe they could claim he might have lived if someone was able to see him? Hmmmm
