The Mountain Laurel Center for the Performing Arts in Pike County, a $35 million amphitheater once touted as a cultural beacon but sold last year to a Philadelphia area developer, is closed, a spokesman confirmed to The Morning Call.
''We're searching for a management company to operate the facility, but it's taken a long time,'' said Paul Olsen, a vice president with Wolfington Cos. of Conshohocken, Montgomery County.
