Why are we there at all? These young men are being sent over there with a chance of not coming home again. WHY? I agree I don't know the reasons but it seems to me that some of these old men who sit up there in the government are trying to live up to some fantasy of theirs but they are not the ones who have to go and do it. Maybe they should and find out what it is like. It seemed that after 9/11 it was the right thing to do, but it has dragged on enough just like Vietnam and Korea. WW11 was supposed to be the "war to end all wars" but for some reason this nation feels it is our duty to get involved with every fracas there is . What did we win in Vietnam? Nothing but a lot of young men who died for this country in a war that caused so much dissention in our country that they came back to nothing but derison. How very sad. We can't even take care of problems in our own country and we are trying to "aid" another. My husband was in the service at the start of Vietnam but luckily he didn't re-up and personally if I had any sons who were to go I would have taken them to Cananda. I would in this war too. It just never ends.
