According to the Daily Herald web site, he's originally from Washington state - in other words, a Yankee transplant.

Had get that in before all the redneck remarks piled in.

Growing up in C-town I used to work some surrounding farms and was amazed at the bragging about the good ol' boys and their beast accomplishments. I wonder where this guy was from before he took refuge way up in the far Northwest. He was probably a transplant there too.
