Columbia State says many Williamson students need remedial classes

COLUMBIA, Tenn. - More than half of the Williamson County students who attended Columbia State Community College in the fall of 2008 qualified to take at least one remedial or developmental class, school officials say.

It is sad how we dumbed down our schools in the last 40 years. All the youth I hire are high school graduates. They cannot spell or do simple math functions. Please never ask one individual anything about geography or government.

It is sad. The USA is 17th in the world in quality of education.

I fear for our future. It's going to be even worse than it is today.
