Suspects still sought in assault on woman
Police continue to search for suspects in the investigation of the past weekend's sexual assault and abduction of a 41-year-old Collinsville woman from a parking lot by two men.
Collinsville Police Chief Scott Williams said police are seeking the public's assistance in this case.
'We are hoping for anyone who might have information to call us,' Williams said.
The victim told police she had gotten out of her vehicle to check something in a parking lot in the 700 block of St. Louis Road about 7:30 p.m. Sunday. She was then confronted, beaten and forced back into her vehicle by two Spanish-speaking males, who sexually assaulted her, according to Collinsville Police. Read more
