The people who are against this can not provide a single example of a location that switched to once a week pick up where all the bad stuff they say will happen actually did. Quite the opposite. The Citys that implemented this have NOT seen an increase in rats/vermin, smell or any other negative impact. The majority of Hyattsville IS for the change, not against it! The folks who spoke at that meeting are acting like the City wants to put a nuclear waste dump in the middle of the City, it's unbelievable! This is a pilot program. If there are rats, if there is smell, if there is increased trash around the City, if there are no savings, then yes, go back to 2 times. I don't see that happening.
