Editor's note: Moments before this edition of The Journal went to press, the paper learned from District 2 Supervisor Russ Culver that the Coles Point rezoning application had been unexpectedly withdrawn by that land use applicant.
On Tuesday afternoon County Administrator Norm Risavi phoned Culver to advise that there was no longer a need to schedule a meeting with the rezoning applicant and the Peaceful Harbor residents. Culver characterized the applicant's unanticipated action as surprising and suggested that market conditions may have been a motivating factor. Read more
