Longest antiques, collectibles and garage sale on US-12

This miles long "yard sale" is fine, it's a lot of fun running from one sale to the next, sometimes coming across something you just cannot live without...BUT...gas statios use this for a reason to raise prices (prices were 9 to 11 cents cheaper a mile off the highway),people having the sales also tend to inflate prices because they figure that with all the traffic, some one is bound to buy...it's all becoming a money game instead of a great event and a chance to meet people...run into old friends you have not seen in ages, and to spend very little money to aquire some knick-knacks...all I know is that it has changed from something enjoyable a couple of years ago, to a money thing...

I would love to be up there for this...then we could all go to Shipshewana and have pie....ah, the good memories...

Ahhh... a money thing? Have to tell you, having been a garage sale fiend in my younger days, lots of people make money off garage sales.

BTW, if you want free stuff, try hillsdale freecycle. I just gave someone a working air conditioner last week.
