An 8-year-old boy's dimpled smile faded as he testified Tuesday about alleged sexual assaults by a 76-year-old man who befriended his mother.
The boy's calm but solemn testimony at the preliminary hearing included consistent times, dates, places and situations in which he said he was assaulted by Karl A. Otto, of 247 E. Moser Ave., Coaldale.
District Judge Stephen Bayer found sufficient evidence to order Otto to face Schuylkill County Court on charges of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, indecent exposure and endangering the welfare of children.
