It is really hard to believe that the Tularosa Basin got snow and back here in WV we still haven't had any snow as of yet.

I don't remember us getting so this early in a long time. The weather forecasters have been saying that we're switching from "El Nina to El Nino" which should bring us more moisture off the pacific the next few years. Maybe the drought for the area is over. I hope so.

I too haven't seen this much snow so early. Usually we don't get significant snow until Thanksgiving. In fact I just fired up my wood stove for the first time Sunday. Got some beautiful photos yesterday.

What a minute I went out and bought jackets, hats, scarves, mittens. My boys were walking around the store "Mom I can't move my arms" (laughing of course- Christmas Story is their favorite movie). I guess we will spend a lot of time up at Ski Apache this year to get some use out of the gear.

Everyone thinks New Mexico is all desert but New Mexico does have all four seasons and most of the time more snow than the east coast. Terrific skiing there. The elevation is alot higher there probably more so than WV. The Rockies do start in Southern New Mexico (Tularosa Basin).

Daily Horoscope for January 3

Aries

There is a strong focus on career and parental matters today. You need to be cautious regarding your dealings with someone in authority - things may not be what they seem. This is also a good day to spend time with your partner. Communication in general should prove to be smoother sailing than usual so this would be an opportune time to discuss delicate matters with others. Good news in the evening is indicated.
