Man denies robbery, bomb threat charges
A local man on Wednesday denied charges of robbing a smoke shop and making a bomb threat against Port Clinton High School on April 1. Alex Fletcher, 24, Portage Township, pleaded not guilty in Ottawa County Common Pleas Court to one felony count each of inducing panic, disrupting public services and aggravated robbery.

Classes resume at Port Clinton schools
Port Clinton City Schools were locked down today after a 911 caller alleged that someone was going to bring a bomb to one of the schools at 10 a.m. All schools were put on a lock down and officials were searching the school buildings and all cars arriving at the high school, middle school, and elementary schools.
