As a witness of the first crash, the occupants of this car had been circling the neighborhood for approx. an hour in search of drugs (they asked several people on different streets), all 4 in the car were drunk or on drugs. The driver was under 18 and took off down the street after the 1st crash victim refused her pleas to "not" call the police, in nothing but a bikini (being chased by a neighbor and his dog), she was brought back to wait for the authorities.
The passenger who hoped into the driver's seat tried to run over another neighbor who stood in front of the car to prevent this hit and run. He nearly missed the woman and two children standing on the sidewalk, speeding through a neighbors yard and taking out mailboxes, etc.
It took 20mins. for an officer to arrive and then 15-20 more for the 1st state trooper (who was unable to assist with statements), then a full hour longer for the OTHER state trooper to arrive. No charges were filed for the attempted assault on the neighbor or for restitution of the property damage. Per the state trooper (2nd officer), you are NOT permitted to stop someone leaving the scene of an accident.....if the woman had been hit, it would have been her fault.
Good thing no one was seriously injured, ran over or killed by these irresponsible citizens, this time.
If we DO NOT take our neighborhoods back, for our children and families, the "bad guys" will!

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Taurus

Friends and partners aren't behaving as you would like today. They're eager to go their own way, much to your annoyance. In order to get round this you're going to have to ask yourself some tricky questions, such as whether you're trying to control everyone's behavior or whether they're being inconsiderate in wanting to do their own thing. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so maybe you should all release the tension by making it a super New Year's Eve celebration?
