The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that after a 6-day trial, Jurors on Tuesday found Alex Pothast of Clarksville guilty of vehicular homicide based on intoxication and based on reckless driving.

Alex Pothast is accused of drinking and driving in 2010 when his classmate, Joshua Young of Waverly, died after a crash in Pothast's vehicle.

Bremer County Attorney Kasey Wadding confirmed jury selection for the trial of Alexander Pothast will begin Tuesday, April 30th at 9:00 a.m. Pothast was charged with vehicular homicide after a 2010 car crash that killed 18-year old Joshua Young of Waverly.
About a month ago, the face of the dam in the Shell Rock River came loose. According to Butler County Conservation Director Mike Miner said a log or whole tree [inset] looks to be stuck where the dam gave out in the middle.
