if you take a look at montgomery county's hoc site, they already have 6 hoc owned properties in the bethesda-chevy chase area. one more couldn't hurt.

get real. i'm black, and black IS the subliminal fact in these sort of discussions. however, i'm absolutely against the hoc's approach. i'm even against the welfare system that intentionally provide this vicious cycle (of lifestyle) to its recipients generations after generations.

instead of simply "dumping" these residents in quiet suburban neighborhoods and giving them foodstamps, why not ensure the able-body adults are REQUIRED to work, the high school-aged youths go to college, NO involvement in criminal activities, etc., etc., as requirement for participating in the program (otherwise they are off the program).

why do you true racist left-wing zealous continue to provide these dangerous facades to the poor and under-privileged and pretending like you really care about them? why won't you provide them high level education and jobs in an honest manner as you do with the foodstamp and housing? please just don't give them enough to barely survive generations after generations, but rather, to be self-sustaining in the long term.

Require them to work where? Most are illiterate, possess no job skills and have criminal history. There are no jobs for the willing and qualified.

Education? They refuse to learn. They would rather act like thugs.

And if you removed welfare, how many neighborhoods would burn? White society has a deserved fear.

exactly my point. because of this vicious cycle of the welfare system, they are stuck with no job skill, illiteracy and criminal history. instead of merely providing them free food and housing generations after generations a more comprehensive program should emerge.

Welfare is surely not the solution, but neither is likely participation by your race in improving their lot in life. Welfare keeps them (more militant) from burning the cities down and in crack money.
