Battle for support intensifies

Both proponents and opponents of a proposed Rush Township landfill and industrial park are taking their fight to the battleground of public opinion.
Each says the facts are on their side.
On one side is Rush Township and Lancaster County-based Resource Recovery LLC, whose project, supporters argue, will bring jobs, tax revenues and money to an area that doesn't have the same rosy economic outlook as the Centre Region. To help spread that message, Resource Recovery is getting ready to mail a DVD and letter to township property owners and others that company President Ed Abel said will answer questions and help show what the project can bring to the area.
