For the the person driving home that happened to notice lots of flashing lights, it means something even if it doesn't to you. They might wonder, was it a shooting? Did someone get raped? Was it a bomb explosion? Was it a fire? But that person can go home and bring it up online and see that it was an elderly woman killed by the train. Maybe all the info is not in yet, but at least they now have an idea what they saw. That's the difference between an online (free) newspaper edition and the hard-copy that you purchase. Online is able to bring it up right from the start and add more as the story progresses. If you don't like the way the online free editions work, then stick to the old newstand and home delivery. Nobody forces it on you, and you don't pay for it. If you don't like it, then stop reading it. Leave it for those of us who appreciate it for what it is, a free service that gives us bits of information now instead of having to wait til tomorrow morning to read the full story.
