1100 block of Vine Street, Jan. 7 - A West Des Moines woman told police she was hit by a man upset at her for speeding. 1100 block of Vine Street, Jan. 7 - A West Des Moines man was accused of striking another man with a glass container. 100 block of Jordan Creek Parkway, Jan. 7 - Police arrested a 53-year-old Des Moines man for the theft of 11 boxes of golf balls from Scheels valued at $506.89. 1000 block of 76th Street, Jan. 7 - A Schooler Medical Professionals employee reported the front door tampered with. More than $600 cash, six personal checks totaling $1,349 and a digital camera valued at $200 were stolen. 300 block of 88th Street, Jan. 7 - Police seized marijuana from a Des Moines woman who called for an ambulance. No arrest was made. 200 block of South Prairie View Drive, Jan. 7 - A West Des Moines man reported damage to his front windshield, back window, driver's side window and rear window. Total damage was estimated at $1,600. 1300 block of Walnut Woods Drive, Jan. 7 - A West Des Moines couple reported the theft of a garbage can valued at $25. 1800 block of Valley West Road, Jan. 7 - An Urbandale woman is accused of stealing two televisions from Target valued at $550. 3600 block of Woodland Avenue, Jan. 7 - A Clive man reported his daughter's iPod, valued at $299, stolen from her gym locker at Valley High School. 600 block of South 35th Street, Jan. 7 - A Clive girl was found with contraband in her locker. 1200 block of Office Park Road, Jan. 8 - A West Des Moines man reported his debit/credit card stolen. 1100 block of 11th Street, Jan. 8 - A West Des Moines man reported the window broken out of his vehicle. 1200 block of Office Park Road, Jan. 8 - A Des Moines man reported the front driver's side window of his car broken and a CD face and about 50 CDs stolen. Stolen items were valued at $600. 1200 block of Office Park Road, Jan. 8 - A Windsor Heights man reported cell phones, a jacket and CDs stolen from his car. 7000 block of Vista Drive, Jan. 8 - A Des Moines man reported damage to the passenger side of his car, causing $800 damage. 1100 block of 11th Street, Jan. 8 - A West Des Moines woman reported damage to the passenger window of her car. A dash CD player valued at $200 was also stolen. 100 block of Fifth Street, Jan. 8 - A door at Crystal Gallery was reported damaged during an attempted burglary. 1200 block of Office Park Road, Jan. 8 - A Churdan woman reported the driver's side window of her car broken. Damage was estimated at $180. Five CDs and a board game were also stolen. 1200 block of Office Park Road, Jan. 8 - A West Des Moines man reported the driver's side window of his car broken. Damage was estimated at $180. 1100 block of 11th Street, Jan. 8 - An Ankeny man reported the driver's side rear window of his car broken. A laptop computer valued at $2,000 and car stereo valued at $200 were stolen. 1100 block of 11th Street, Jan. 8 - A West Des Moines man reported the passenger side front window of his car broken. A CD deck valued at $230 was stolen. 1700 block of Valley West Drive, Jan. 8 - Police arrested an 18-year-old West Des Moines man for stealing a razor and toothpaste valued at $11.98. 100 block of First Street, Jan. 8 - Police arrested an 18-year-old Runnells man for possession of alcohol underage and possession of drug paraphernalia. 4700 block of E.P. True Parkway, Jan. 8 - Police arrested a 35-year-old West Des Moines man for driving with a revoked license. 100 block of Jordan Creek Parkway, Jan. 9 - Police arrested a 17- and 18-year-old West Des Moines man for stealing a pair of snow goggles valued at $110. 1800 block of Valley West Drive, Jan. 9 - Police arrested a 52-year-old Des Moines man for stealing jeans, cereal, a book and a manicure kit valued at about $45. 100 block of Jordan Creek Parkway, Jan. 9 - Police arrested a 26-year-old West Des Moines woman on a Polk County warrant for driving while suspended. 300 block of Grand Avenue, Jan. 9 - A Taco John's employee reported a robbery at the store. The suspect allegedly entered through the back door and threatened employees with a knife before taking more than $500 from the cash register. He then grabbed an employee and told him to open the safe. The employee did not know the code, and the suspect let him go. 500 block of 31st Street, Jan. 10 - Police arrested two 18-year-old Clive men, a 19-year-old West Des Moines man and a 19-year-old Clive man for possession/use of explosive devices. The four men were caught throwing a dry ice bomb at a friend's house. 700 block of 11th Street, Jan. 10 - A West Des Moines woman reported the violation of a no-contact order. 3100 block of E.P. True Parkway, Jan. 10 - A West Des Moines woman reported two charges on her credit card not made by her. 1500 block of Valley West Drive, Jan. 10 - Police arrested a 15-year-old West Des Moines girl for stealing earrings valued at $12. 6000 block of Vista Drive, Jan. 10 - A West Des Moines man reported the front passenger window of his car broken and a deck stereo valued at $450 stolen. 4400 block of Woodland Avenue, Jan. 10 - A West Des Moines man reported the front passenger window of his car broken and a CD player valued at $100 stolen. 4400 block of Woodland Avenue, Jan. 10 - A West Des Moines woman reported the front passenger window in her car broken and clothing, CDs and a camera stolen. Total value was about $1,200. 6600 block of Vista Drive, Jan. 10 - A West Des Moines woman reported the front passenger window in her car broken and a CD player valued at $300 stolen. 6600 block of Vista Drive, Jan. 10 - A West Des Moines woman reported the front passenger window of her car broken and a stereo taken from the dash valued at $100. 6000 block of Vista Drive, Jan. 10 - A West Des Moines man reported the front passenger window in his car broken. The man was stopped after he struck another car while driving. 101 Jordan Creek Parkway, Jan. 11 - Police arrested a 14-year-old Norwalk girl for stealing shoes and earrings valued at $60 from Hot Topic. The girl was released to her parents at the scene. 500 block of South 51st Street, Jan. 11 - Police arrested a 16-year-old Van Meter boy for stealing food and alcohol valued at $35 from Hy-Vee Food Store. 1400 block of Vine Street, Jan. 11 - A Stilwell Junior High student reported his bike stolen. 6200 block of Beechtree Drive, Jan. 11 - A West Des Moines woman reported damage to her garage door estimated at about $500 caused by someone striking it with a vehicle. 5500 block of Mills Civic Parkway, Jan. 12 - Police arrested a 24-year-old Urbandale man for punching another man outside Tonic Bar. 6800 block of Woodland Avenue, Jan. 12 - A West Des Moines man told police he was threatened by his ex-wife's significant other. No arrests were made. 1400 block of Valley West Drive, Jan. 12 - Valley West Amoco management reported a former employee stole almost $50 of gasoline and other merchandise. 1300 block of Grand Avenue, Jan. 12 - A salesperson at River's Edge Auto reported damage to his car, a company demo car. Damage was estimated at $1,000. 1200 block of Jordan Creek Parkway, Jan. 12 - A Dallas Center woman reported the theft of a black leather jacket valued at $150 and car keys valued at $25. 100 block of South Jordan Creek Parkway, Jan. 13 - Police arrested a 33-year-old Waukee man for second-offense operating while intoxicated. 500 block of Grand Avenue, Jan. 13 - Police arrested a 21-year-old Des Moines woman for driving while suspended. She was stopped for having expired stickers on her license plates. Creston Avenue and 63rd Street, Jan. 13 - Police arrested a 22-year-old Des Moines man for driving while suspended. He was stopped for a nonfunctioning taillight. 3300 block of Westown Parkway, Jan. 13 - Police arrested a 21-year-old Des Moines man on a warrant out of the Des Moines Police Department. Police stopped him during an assault case investigation. 3300 block of Westown Parkway, Jan. 13 - Police responded to a fight at the Boom Boom Room, where a man said he had been hit over the head with a glass bottle. 600 block of 13th Street, Jan. 14 - Police arrested a 19-year-old West Des Moines man for operating while intoxicated. 4957 Woodland Drive, Jan. 13 - A West Des Moines woman reported damage to her parked car. 100 block of Lynnwood Drive, Jan. 14 - A West Des Moines man told police his cleaning lady stole 30 blank checks from his desk drawer. 5800 block of Vista Drive, Jan. 14 - A West Des Moines woman reported her identity stolen during a phone scam. 600 block of 19th Street, Jan. 15 - Police arrested a 24-year-old West Des Moines man for striking an unattended vehicle. 8400 block of Hickman Road, Jan. 8 - A Waukee man reported $300 damage done to his car's front windshield. 2100 block of Northwest 108th Street, Jan. 10 - Police arrested a 30-year-old Des Moines man for simple assault. 1100 block of Hickman Road, Jan. 10 - Police arrested a 25-year-old Dallas Center man on a warrant out of Polk County Sheriff's Office for probation violation. 8400 block of Hickman Road, Jan. 10 - Police responded to an assault at Drink. No arrests were made. 1700 block of Northwest 182nd Street, Jan. 13 - Police arrested two juveniles for a liquor law violation. 13000 block of Sunset Terrace, Jan. 14 - A Clive man reported two digital cameras stolen from his vehicle. Intersection of Sagewood Circle and Waco Place, Jan. 7 - A Des Moines man backed into an Ankeny man's vehicle causing $1,525 worth of damage. 500 block of Southeast Cardinal Lane, Jan. 7 - A Waukee woman reported a burglary to vehicles. Intersection of Hickman Road and Sixth Street, Jan. 7 - Police arrested a 32-year-old Perry man for driving while suspended. He was cited for no proof of insurance. Intersection of University Avenue and Alice's Road, Jan. 8 - A Grimes man hit a car driven by an Adel woman while turning onto University Avenue. Vehicle damage was estimated at $1,200. Intersection of Alice's Road and Olson Drive, Jan. 8 - A Waukee man was driving north on Alice's Road when his car slid off the roadway. Vehicle damage was estimated at $2,000. 600 block of University Avenue, Jan. 8 - Police arrested a 13-year-old boy for disorderly conduct. 500 block of Southeast University Avenue, Jan. 8 - Police arrested a 17-year-old Clive man for disorderly conduct. 500 block of University Avenue, Jan. 8 - Police arrested a 15-year-old boy for disorderly conduct. Intersection of University Avenue and Alice's Road, Jan. 9 - Police arrested an 18-year-old West Des Moines man for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. 600 block of Southeast Cardinal Street, Jan. 12 - Police arrested two 15-year-old boys and a 14-year-old boy, all for criminal mischief. 400 block of Hickman Road, Jan. 13 - A Des Moines man accelerated into the overhead door of a car wash when his foot slipped from the break.
