Since WHEN does the Roanoke Times get involved with juvenile related issues, and only report one side of the story? Was it a coincidence that the Roanoke Times published this notice- the DAY BEFORE the child was to be arraigned? Really, now was it just a coincidence? I think not and Anna Mallory should be ashamed of such shotty journalism. She isn't a journalist... she allowed herself to be used by spiteful indignation. If she has nothing better to report.. maybe I can assist her... how about the child that is missing from the Christiansburg area? Does anyone know about that??? Check it out: http://www.ncmec.org/missingkids/servlet/PubC... area? How about it Anna????

I agree with LLW why is this a one sided story? These kids are juveniles!! Was this really checked out with all parties involved before it was put in the paper??

I contacted the Roanoke Times on this story the VERY NEXT day and they informed me that Anna Mallory was out of town for 2 weeks and could not speak with me.Apparently she was out of town getting married?????????? VERY Poor Judgment on her part in her writing this story concerning two juveniles and then going out of town not to be reached for comment! The editor from Roanoke Times that I spoke with agreed with me and offered her apologies for this story even being printed, so with that being said by a co-worker and fellow editor, I am wondering what was the purpose to print this right before the court date??? Come on !!!!!!!!! These kids are just children and it did not only affect them but all the children that are there friends including my child that goes to that school and the employess of the school in which gives them an opinion of what was printed on paper and may not even be the facts and is one sided. It makes me question on what adult would give permission to Roanoke Times to print this story on two juvenilles that have to attend school and face everyone on a daily basis. In my personal opinion this is a form of child abuse by the news paper and cruel thinkin on their part.

I am so ashamed of this and so should Ms. Mallor be. We have much more desperate issues than to harass a student for something that NO ONE has bothered to find out exactly what the circumstances were, prior to this incindent being reported in our local newspaper. How did Ms. Mallory get involved in this story, it was not publisized, these kids are juveniles after all!! Sounds to me like an angry person gave her the bait and she took it. Maybe some invetigation into those circumstances should have taken place prior to putting this in the newspaper the day before this JUVENILE was to be in court. We would all like to think our children are sweet and innocent, unfortunately that is not always the case. Maybe the student was defending himself!! How does anyone know that maybe the bullying was on the other hand and this kid was maybe tired of taking bullying and decided to defend himself. Why did Ms. Mallory publish this information without the whole story??? This article has affected all of the kids in our high school, these kids names weren't published in the paper, but the kids and parents know of CHS know. So now on top of the anxieties of regular everyday adolescence, our kids are dealing with what has now become a bad situation for all. Rumors are flying, this kid is being unfairly judged by other parents, teachers and students. Now the harassment has begun for him and his family. This child may be completely innocent, but who would know, has anything been proven!!!! What happened to being innocent before being proven guilty!!! I am not sure about other parents, but my child goes to CHS and has been adversely affested over this whole ordeal, and is also asking the same questions I am asking. Why did a reporter get involved, how did she know about the incident??? Why are they daying my friend may be going to a juvenile detention home, and on it goes. I have tried to explain to him, that sometimes adults act more like children than children themselves do. I have told him a judge decides these things, not anyone else. Although it seems some people have appointed themselves judge and jury in this case. Shame on you, and you know who you are!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Scorpio

If you're feeling brave enough, you should get out all your receipts`, and then tot up how much you've spent this month. Or don't you have the courage to do so? It will be far better to know the truth than to pretend that everything's all right. But don't let it spoil what promises to be a delightfully enjoyable and rather emotional day.
