My child and nephew were on the bus and they are both 5 years old. I am at a loss as to why busses are not required to have the children in seat belts. Thank God all of the childeren and bus driver are not badly hurt.

I drove those roads yesterday. Many are narrow, with little shoulder area and deep ditches on the side. Not hard to see how a bus could roll off. I'm glad no one was seriously hurt.

Not a good day for bus drivers in NM.

1 Don't assume that the driver was not at fault. Will he be blood-tested? |

Typical drivers like that in cordova.Been in and out of that place for 15 years.

Why drug tests are HAAAAAAaaaateful and RAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaacist, as well as "culturally" biased against Minorities. |

Oh my God, what is wrong with some you people? Of course the bus deiver should be tested and probably was as it is normally procedure for any accidents involving buses, but why assume it is the bus driver's fault when no one knows any of the facts? Unless you were a little birdy flying around Cordova that day and saw the whole thing don't assume or judge anyone. The important thing is that the kids and the driver are okay.

Anyone flipping a bus has got to be loopy. |

Anyone could flip any kind of vehicle on those roads with very little effort. I lived in Cordova for 38 years, and all of the roads there are one lane. To make matters worse, many of the roads are on a steep grade, with curves and no shoulder to speak of. The road where this happened is one of those roads. If you've never been to Cordova, just think of the road going up from Los Alamos towards the Valles Caldera...only twice as narrow! I'm surprised and thankful that no one was seriously hurt! |
