New Lenox doesn't care about being a good chief, but we do care about him being a good leader of our community.

I hear an interesting, and most likely false rumor about why he dropped out of the race today. Too off the wall for me though.

Balderman always liked young girls.
its a well known fact, if you havent heard
about it you must not have any kids.
But my question is why or how did he become chief? we also heard stories of how this took place.
anyone heard about rio and a loan story? If so
Please tell us all about it.

Tim Baldermann is a great chief. He's dedicated, fair, and an upstanding kind of guy (remember we're not judging his personal life here folks - that's a separate issue all together - just his professional ability).

Why he chose to drop out of the race is his own business. My guess is that winning against Debbie Halverson (Emil Jones' proverbial right arm) was too insurmountable of a task, but that doesn't detract from his inate abilities to lead a department. He's a very effective leader and like it or not, I'm a big fan.

Peace and love to all my Ridge brothers and sisters.

You obviously don't know Tim B very well or at all. He's certainly not an upstanding guy. All he really cares about is himself and his own agenda. When talking to him he really thought he was going to win the 11th district. That was right after he won the primary. Sorry, I don't share your feelings for Tim or why he got out of the election. I'm sure the REAL truth will come out eventually.

Au contraire mon frere, I do know Tim, quite well, in fact. He really IS a great guy, but I totally respect your right to disagree with me.

Maybe someday, given the right circumstances and opportunity, you might see how wrong you are about him, but then again, maybe you won't.

I spoke to him on the phone recently and asked him why he dropped out. It will come out eventually, and you will see he did it for the right reason! I believe he is an upstanding guy.

I have also spoke with our mayor and I believe he reasoning is because he cannot be as controling as he is in his current positions. He actually would have to listen to someone rather than dictate. My personal opinion is that he wasn't going to make enough money doing the job and then not being in the driver seat and at the mercy of the party and people, just didn't sit well with him. It's all about power and control, and believe it or not, I don't think he had enough of it promised to him to make it worth the jump right now. I still do not believe he will finish his term as mayor either.
