Charity center aims to lend a helping hand in tough times
"Charity is not based on pity. It's for those who are in need. It's all about love." Those were the words of Tammy Scalise, the brains behind and one of the volunteers at the new charity center at the Parish of Pope John Paul the Great, which had its soft opening on Wednesday.
